Courses provided include:

• NZ Certificate in Commercial Road Transport Class 2 and 4

• NZ Certificate in Commercial Road Transport Class 5

• NZ Certificate in Automotive Engineering

The government's new initiative - 'Training 4 Work' programmes have lead NTI to develop our 'Pathway to Success' courses, providing MSD clients with an opportunity to pathway from employment focused training into real industry employment.

Courses provided include:

• Introduction to Automotive Engineering (includes approximately 3 week option on intro to welding)

• Introduction to Commercial Road Transport

Our Youth Guarantee Programmes are about improving the transition from school to work, by providing a wider range of learning opportunities, making better use of the education network, and creating clear pathways from school to study and work. These courses help trainees/students to achieve a minimum of National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level Two or equivalent which will enable progression into higher levels of study, training or employment.

Courses provided include:

• New Zealand Certificate in Foundation Skills Level 1

• New Zealand Certificate in Foundation Skills Level 2

• Manufacturing & Technology in Automotive Engineering incorporating Vocational Pathway Level 2

Nelson Technical Institute is a Private Training Establishment (PTE) with over 30 years experience. We are a NZQA registered and NZTA Approved Course Provider.

Our team and contracting team at Nelson Technical Institute have a strong knowledge base and a wealth of Industry experience. 

We offer a wide range of short 1-3 day courses for employers, employees and individuals

Including:

• Forklift Endorsement (‘F’) and OSH Certificate

• Class 2-5 Licenses

• Wheels, Tracks and Rollers Endorsements (‘W’, ‘T’,’R’)

• Dangerous Goods Endorsement (‘D’)

Licencing courses are approved NZTA courses, with approved Industry Training Organisation (ITO) assessors.
